Trade Fair begins

Union Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal inaugurated India International Mega Trade Fair on Saturday evening. Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate B N Singh was guest of honour during the grand inaugural ceremony of the Mega Expo. Presence of a splendid band performing at the gates of India Expo Mart added grandeur to the magnificent inaugural ceremony.

Flanked by many esteemed dignitaries, honourable MoS Finance Arjun Meghwal inaugurated the expo in traditional Indian method of auspicious lamp-lighting followed by ribbon-cutting ceremony. He then proceeded inside the expo and interacted with various exporters and manufacturers displaying and selling their products at IIMTF.

The two leading names in the country- India Expo Mart Limited and G S Marketing associates have joined hands to provide wholesome shopping experience to retail buyers and business consumers through IIMTF.

Commenting on the occasion IEML Chairman Rakesh Kumar said, “It is indeed a pleasure to bring India International Mega Trade Fair to Northern India for the first time. We hope our esteemed visitors will appreciate and be-benefited from the wide variety of products being offered under one roof inside a well- maintained world class facility”.

District Magistrate (Gautam Buddha Nagar) B N Singh, Prakash Shah Chairman, G.S.Marketing, Smarajit Purkayasth, DDG BCCI and Saurav Sanyal Secretary General PHD Chamber also addressed the inaugural ceremony.

Suparna Duttagupta, CEO, GS Marketing extended vote of thanks to esteemed dignitaries.

Exhibitors from over a dozen international destinations are taking part in this mega expo which also has participants from over 20 states of India. Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Speaks at GST Seminar Soon after the formal inauguration ceremony of India International Mega Trade Fair a comprehensive seminar on recently introduced Goods & Services Tax (GST) was organized.

Speaking at the GST seminar Union Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs Arjun Meghwal said, “GST is India’s biggest tax reform after Independence and it will prove to be a major milestone in growth of the country. We are glad that all decisions regarding GST were taken unanimously by state councils and nothing was imposed. The country is undergoing rapid changes and GST will help in creating an integrated partnership at national level”.

During the same GST seminar EPCH Chairman O P Prahladka said, “GST has a fair motive of creating one tax, one nation. The business fraternity has high hopes on it. We also expect that any apprehensions of traders, exporters or manufacturers are well addressed by the Government from time to time”.

Over 200 large exporters and manufacturers attended the GST seminar. Queries regarding Goods & Services Tax were addressed by prominent CA Manoj Goyal during the seminar.
